Carl and Frank Zenko opened the business in 1962 on the basis that everyone needs a vehicle and whether a customer can afford a new or used vehicle that vehicle should be 100% ready to go!! 48 years later that Tradition of Quality and Affordability is still the way Carl does business today!
Every Vehicle for sale on our lot has been put through an Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council approved inspection and has been reconditioned to not only AMVICs requirements but Elmwood’s level of worthiness before you can buy that Vehicle from us!
Elmwood’s success over the last 40 years has not only been through the diligence of the reconditioning but also through the buying of Quality Cars, Trucks, and Vans!! Many of our vehicles still have the majority of The Manufacturer’s Warranty and all the vehicles we sell have an Extended Warranty available from Coast to Coast Dealer Services through our Finance Department! Vehicles that don’t qualify our usually sold to a Wholesaler or ran through an auction under the “red light”.

The caricature running across the top of our website is an animation of the 1927 Oldsmobile Businessman’s coupe that was the first trade-in Carl took back in 1962! Elmwood kept the car until 2002, lending it out to relatives and friends for occasions such as Weddings and Anniversaries. In 2002 Carl sold the Olds to Prestige Limousines. Today the 1927 Olds is represented as our flagship emblem and the image adorns our key tags handed out to everyone with the purchase of one of our Quality used Vehicles!
